Widely considered by scholars to be Manetís most successful etching, this piece holds influence by Spanish artists Francesco Goya and Diego Velasquez. It demonstrates Manetís romantic, spontaneous style of working with tools and ability to capture great nuance in all of his artistic pursuits. The piece is realistic without being laboriously detailed, itís an excellent example of Manetís skill.
