Blown and sculpted Glass, 24k Gold 21 3/4" x 7 1/2" x 5 1/2"
This artwork explores the relationship of ritual and selfcare. So often today we fail to take the
time to slow down and examine ourselves. The ritual of brewing tea exists as a conscious
decision to take that time. As we sit with ourselves and reflect, we take on the role of the fungi,
becoming the cleansing filter of our own ego. Examining the good and the bad and expelling
what doesn’t serve us. Only after shining our light on ourselves, can we shine it onto others.
